Limited Warranty

Application of Australian Consumer Guarantees

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. The benefits under our Limited Warranty are in addition to your rights and remedies under applicable law.

One-Year Consumer Products Limited Warranty

STAFFI Fall Alarm devices (the “Product”) are warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for 12 months from the original date of retail purchase (“Warranty Period”). Within this period, STAFFI will, at its option, repair or replace any component that fails in normal use. Repairs or replacements are provided at no charge for parts and labour under warranty; you are responsible for shipping the Product to STAFFI, and we cover return shipping for approved warranty claims.

What’s covered:

  • The STAFFI device (electronics and enclosure)

  • Internal rechargeable battery against defects in materials and workmanship during the Warranty Period

  • Manufacturing faults in assembly

What’s not covered:

  • Cosmetic wear (scratches, nicks, dents); normal battery capacity fade over time

  • Damage from accident, abuse, misuse, liquid ingress, corrosion, fire, flood, or other external causes

  • Damage from using non-approved power supplies, cables, or accessories

  • Damage caused by third-party service or modification, or by opening the enclosure

  • Damage arising from use contrary to the User Guide (e.g., wearing off-body, excessive heat during charging, etc.)

  • Software/app configuration, mobile carrier/network issues, or third-party service outages

Sole remedy: If you make a valid claim during the Warranty Period, STAFFI will, at its option:
(i) repair the Product using new or refurbished parts that meet STAFFI quality standards;
(ii) replace the Product with a new or refurbished Product of equal or better functionality; or
(iii) provide a refund of the purchase price if repair or replacement is not commercially reasonable.
This is your exclusive remedy under this Limited Warranty (in addition to your ACL rights).

Availability of Repair Facilities & Parts (including Out-of-Warranty Services)

STAFFI products include compact, integrated components. Some repairs (e.g., cracked PCB, water-damaged assemblies) may only be feasible under factory conditions; in certain cases, board-level or whole-unit replacement may be required.

  • Spare parts & facilities: STAFFI takes reasonable steps to ensure repair facilities and spare parts are available for a reasonable period after supply. If we are unable to offer a particular repair or part, we will inform you of available alternatives (e.g., paid exchange unit).

  • Out-of-warranty service: If your Product is outside the Warranty Period or the issue is excluded, STAFFI may offer:

    • A paid repair (where feasible), or

    • A discounted refurbished or new replacement (“exchange unit”).
      We will provide a quote for your approval before proceeding.

Repair or Replacement of a STAFFI Product — Required Notices (ACL)

  • Data/Settings Loss Notice: Repair or replacement of goods capable of retaining user-generated data (e.g., device settings) may result in loss of that data. Ensure your app data and emergency contacts are backed up/saved in the mobile app before sending a device for service.

  • Refurbished Goods/Parts: Goods presented for repair may be replaced by refurbished goods of the same type rather than being repaired. Refurbished parts may be used to repair the goods.

Procedure for Claims Under Limited Warranty

Step 1 — Contact STAFFI Support to obtain an RMA number
Email support@staffifallalarm.com with:

  • Product serial number (if available)

  • Proof of purchase (receipt or tax invoice)

  • Description of the issue (photos/video helpful)

  • Your return shipping address and daytime phone

Step 2 — Ship the Product with the RMA number
After you receive your RMA, securely package the Product and ship it (insured, if desired) to the return address provided in your RMA email.

  • You are responsible for inbound shipping on warranty claims; STAFFI covers return shipping for approved warranty repairs/replacements.

  • Products returned without an RMA may be refused or delayed.

Service outside the original country of purchase:
If you seek service outside Australia, availability of parts and service may vary due to different product versions and regulations. STAFFI may, at its discretion and subject to local laws, repair/replace with a comparable model, or ask you to return the Product to an Australian service location. You are responsible for complying with import/export laws and paying any duties, taxes, and shipping.

Proof of Purchase & Marketplace Purchases

To obtain warranty service, an original or copy of the sales receipt from the original retailer (or STAFFI directly) is required. Purchases from online marketplaces must include a valid tax invoice identifying the seller and date of purchase. Missing accessories from marketplace purchases are not replaced under warranty. Promotions offered by STAFFI may apply only to purchases from authorised retailers or direct from STAFFI.
